History of the laboratory

2014

It all began with a big dream — to create a medical laboratory that would become synonymous with reliability and professionalism. Thanks to the experience of our specialists, who had over 20 years of expertise in managing laboratories, "Euromed" was born. Starting with a small team and a few sample collection points, we embarked on our journey to make high-quality diagnostics accessible to everyone.

2019

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic was a challenge for everyone, but for the medical sector, it was a true test of endurance and professionalism. For "Euromed," it meant working tirelessly, pushing the limits to help thousands of people during the most difficult period of their lives.
Our laboratory quickly adapted to the new realities. From the early stages of the pandemic, we introduced COVID-19 tests, ensuring their availability to everyone in need. Requests came in daily, and our team worked day and night, sometimes sacrificing rest, to deliver results on time. We understood that these tests were not just about diagnostics — they were the key to whether people could be with loved ones, travel, work, or receive essential treatment.

2022

The full-scale war brought immense pain, destruction, and loss. Kharkiv, the home city of our laboratory, found itself at the epicenter of hostilities. Our usual lives were interrupted, giving way to air raid sirens, explosions, and constant fear for ourselves and our loved ones.
Unfortunately, in the first months of the war, the laboratory was forced to close. We lost four sample collection points that were damaged beyond repair. All the equipment we had gathered over the years was destroyed in the flames of shelling. It wasn’t just walls and machinery — it was a part of us, our work, our calling.
Yet even in this darkest time, we did not lose faith. By May, we found the strength and means to restart operations. A new team was formed, new premises were found, and equipment was purchased. This was not just the beginning of a new chapter in the history of "Euromed," but a symbol of our resilience.
Every employee, every patient, every day of work became proof that human spirit knows no bounds. Despite fatigue and pain, we found the energy to keep going. It wasn’t easy. But we knew our work was needed.

2023
2023 was a new test for "Euromed," but also a year that demonstrated our resilience and ability to fight under the most challenging conditions. Air raid alarms, blackouts, cold, and uncertainty became daily realities. However, the most significant blow to our work came on November 6.
Our main medical center, located on Molochna Street, was damaged by shelling. Offices were riddled with shrapnel, and windows were completely shattered. Debris covered work desks and equipment that served our patients daily. It was a moment of shock and pain. But we knew we had to move forward.
Despite all the destruction, the laboratory did not cease operations. We quickly restored the space as much as possible and ensured uninterrupted processes. Our team worked under conditions that required not only professional skills but also true strength of spirit.
The period of power outages became a separate challenge. To maintain critical equipment and ultrasound services, we launched two generators, which became our reliable support. Under the hum of their engines, we continued performing tests, diagnostics, and consultations. Sometimes it was done by the dim light of candles or flashlights, but no patient was left without assistance.
We didn’t just endure — we managed to grow. This year was about people who maintained faith in their work. We improved internal processes, ensured operational autonomy, and did everything to make our patients feel stability even in the most difficult times.

2024

After all the challenges faced by "Euromed" and the entire country, we began this year with renewed strength and determination. Despite everything we had to go through, our laboratory has been renewed and strengthened, becoming more modern, efficient, and ready for new tasks.
This year marked a relaunch. We didn’t just return to our usual work rhythm — we created a new format that addresses all the challenges of today’s reality. One of our main achievements was expanding the team. Many of our employees had to leave their positions due to the war, and restoring seamless operations after such losses was a difficult task. However, new professionals joined us, sharing our values and ready to work for people even in the most challenging conditions.
Our laboratory has become a place of stability for our patients. We strive to be a place where help, support, and confidence in quality healthcare are always available. "Euromed" is more than a medical network. It’s a group of people who never give up, a dedicated team working for you and with you, no matter the circumstances.
